We have a fantastic new job in for a Diabetes Clinical Specialist for a world leading Company in Medical Devices.
Position: Diabetes Clinical Specialist
Reports to: District Sales Manager
Territory: Field Based - covering 26 counties of ROI
Job Function
> Working in co-operation with the Diabetes Territory Manager in order to achieve regional business objectives and financial targets.
o Supporting the development and delivery of account specific plans designed to encourage account independence in pump therapy in order to develop the market to achieve standard of care.
Role Responsibilities -
Facilitating healthcare professionals to enable patient starting on Insulin pump therapy to gain independence to manage their diabetes.
Essential skills required -
“ Knowledge of Type 1 Diabetes disease state
“ Knowledge and experience in Insulin pump therapy preferred
“ Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
“ Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and patients
“ Highly motivated ,focused and have the ability to self manage.
“ Ability to communicate within a matrix management structure.
“ Flexibility to travel and to stay away from home as necessary.
“ To effectively be able to give professional and updated clinical advice in order that HCP’s and patients can manage their Insulin pump therapy without prescriptive authority and direction.
“ To continually develop one’s own knowledge and skills of CSII and CGMS.
“ Ability to act in a timely order to achieve set objectives of the role both clinically and business related.
“ Knowledge of basic computer skills, excel, word, power point, outlook.
“ Full driving license
Qualification required -
“ Nursing qualification or a Dietitian - must have current registration in Ireland
“ Clinical experience
“ Previous nurse advisor or commercial selling experience
“ Experience of healthcare training in a commercial or healthcare environment.
