The Theatre Nurse Manager is a full-time position to co-ordinate and mange the activity of the hospital’s theatre areas.

This role involves complete charge of the theatres , with responsibilities including, but not limited to resource management of all theatre staff, theatre staff development, management of patient care, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership.

Essential Requirements -

  • Registration with An Bord Altranais
  • 3-5 years Theatre experience (post-registration)
  • Completion of a Theatre or Management course
  • The successful candidate will be passionate about his/her career, consistently perform to high standards, and have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be living in or close to Cork

The Job:

Managing the Nursing home and the Nursing staff, you will:

  • Strive to develop multi-disciplinary communication, collaboration and teamwork
  • Demonstrate clinical and professional leadership
  • Continue to establish and implement policies and procedures in compliance with HIQA
  • Ensure the company meets all the requirements of HIQA in matters relating to the delivery of its service provision
  • Complete and evaluate quality assurance systems
  • Provide and effective, responsible nursing service
  • Ensure that the rights of the residents are upheld and promoted at all times, assuring principles of choice, respect, dignity and privacy.

 

The person:

  • Fully qualified Nurse
  • Full ABA registration
  • Full work permits
  • Gerontology course completed or extensive experience with care of the elderly
  • Extensive management experience

A new Clinical Nurse Manager 2 job has come in for ICU in a Hospital in Dublin -

Qualifications / Experience:

1.                  Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.

2.                  At least five years recent post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in an acute hospital setting and a minimum of three years nursing experience in intensive care nursing.

3.                  A recognised post-registration nursing course / higher diploma in Intensive Care Nursing.

4.                  A health care management qualification preferably at third level.

5.                  Proven clinical and professional management ability, risk management, clinical audit, leadership and communication skills.

6.                  Competence in the use of information technology.

 

1. Key Responsibilities:

 

Manage the intensive care unit taking responsibility for the delivery and co-ordination of nursing services for all ICU patients.

 

  • Ensuring and effective, efficient and quality nursing care service.
  • Developing and monitoring human and fiscal resource plans.
  • Planning nursing/service innovations and developments.
  • Ensuring an effective learning environment for the multidisciplinary team.

We have a requirement in for a Nurse Manager for an Addiction Service in Dublin City Centre -

NURSE MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL DETOX UNIT - DUBLIN CITY CENTRE

Essential requirements -

Registerd General or Psychiatric Nurse with current ABA Registration

Diploma or Degree in Addiction Studies

Minimum of 5 years Post Grad experience

Min of 3 years @ CNM level

Addiction/Detox experience essential

Living within commutable distance to Dublin City Centre

MUST BE LIVING IN IRELAND WITH RELEVANT IRISH EXPERIENCE

Job responsibilities -

Some of these are -

1. Participate in regular supervision, support and performance appraisal with Head of Specialist services and identify role related training needs.
2. Ensure that nurses demonstrate a satisfactory knowledge base for safe nursing practice and act to promote and maintain safe nursing practice.
3. Ensure the detox unit functions in accordance with relevant nursing legislation and that nurses fulfil the duty of care in the course of practice and intervene when policies or practices may impede care or contravene the law.
4. To ensure nurses on the detox unit are working within their scope of practice and competence as set by An Bord Altranais and that nurses consult with other health care professionals when service user problems fall outside the scope of nursing practice.
