Nurse Manager/ Coordinator

required for Carlow/ Wicklow border based Care facility.

This specially built Care Unit within a residential home requires a Nurse Manager/ Coordinator to lead a team of Staff nurses and healthcare assistants.

Currently a 14 bed unit and with plans for expansion to a 24 bedded unit, this Care Unit is a top of the range equipped unit who is looking for a leader for their team.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified RGN with current and up to date ABA registration
  • 4 years min recent Clinical experience
  • Have experience to Senior Staff Nurse minimum
  • Some experience in Care of the Elderly

This Nurse Manager/ Coordinator must live locally due to it’s remoteness.

You will also have an astute awareness of all that is required on any Care Unit/ Ward and act as a mentor to those less qualifies/ experienced. You may also be required to assess the CPD on the ward as and when required.

Working Hours - 9-5 (or 8-4)

Salary - €40 - 50K

These Staff Nurses will have full responsibility for the patients at night.

Who Cares?

Who cares for our elderly? We are indebted to the Geriatric Nurses of our nation for their love and compassion towards the elderly of our country.

Whether you have a beloved Grandmother or a hard thinking Grandfather who needs care and constant compassion and empathy that simply goes beyond what you can give them, it is the hands of our Gerontology Nurses that their lives are placed in.

Who cares for the elderly? It is those Nurses who have the love and patience for what they do, those who are consumed with caring for our loved ones, and those who I dare say get caught up in the stories of old!

We also understand that you may be living away from home or travelling to get to work. In which case we may have an option for you to continue caring for the elderly with a number of opportunities in Nursing Homes around the country.

  • Senior Staff Nurse - Galway - 3 years experience in Geriatrics and Disabilities
