Nurse Manager/ Coordinator

required for Carlow/ Wicklow border based Care facility.

This specially built Care Unit within a residential home requires a Nurse Manager/ Coordinator to lead a team of Staff nurses and healthcare assistants.

Currently a 14 bed unit and with plans for expansion to a 24 bedded unit, this Care Unit is a top of the range equipped unit who is looking for a leader for their team.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified RGN with current and up to date ABA registration
• 4 years min recent Clinical experience
• Have experience to Senior Staff Nurse minimum
• Some experience in Care of the Elderly

This Nurse Manager/ Coordinator must live locally due to it’s remoteness.

You will also have an astute awareness of all that is required on any Care Unit/ Ward and act as a mentor to those less qualifies/ experienced. You may also be required to assess the CPD on the ward as and when required.

Working Hours - 9-5 (or 8-4)

Salary - €40 - 50K

Elderly Care Nurse required

We have a job in for a General Nurse with Geriatric/Elderly experience in West Wicklow on a Part Time basis - ie 1-2 Long Days a week.

This Nurse job would suit someone who cannot commit to a full time Nurse job and lives locally - ideally in or near the areas of Hacketstown or Baltinglas.

This is a small and wonderful Elderly Care centre with only 14 Residents.

Person Specification 

The Dermatology Nurse for this role will hold a minimum of 2 years professional clinical experience in a multi-practice operation or hospital.

-Demonstrates general computer skills

-Strong written and verbal communication is essential for communication with patients and medical advisors.

-Sound medical knowledge suitable

-Proactive and have the ability to work under pressure

-Organised, efficient, and results oriented

-Flexibility in approach

-Flexibility in working hours (i.e. some evening and weekends)

-Fluency in English

Job Description

-Undergo full training in the area of Dermoscopy provided by Company,
 
Initial training will entail travelling to the UK for a week.

-Screen patients attentively for skin cancer using Clinic technology (training provided)

-Educate patients on key aspects and dangers of skin cancer

-Communicating with medical advisors

-Be willing to be flexible around the clinic to help out where necessary.

Your role will be to Support the Sales Team with Demos, Presentations, workshops, trials, Education and Advice to patients

The territory covered will be Dublin, Wicklow, Louth, Kildare and Meath.

Ideally, this Nurse will be living in or around Dublin.

You must be a Registered General Nurse with a passion for Wound Care.

You will have a full and clean manual driving license and full flexibility around travel and working hours.

You will be passionate and knowledgeable about Wound Care as this is an Education and Advisory role in Wound Care for patients in Hospital and the Community

Completion of the Tissue Viability or a Wound Care course is also desirable but not essential.
