One Part Time and one Full Time Staff Nurse required

Due to expansion, this 51 bed Elderly Home in Listowel, Co Kerry requires full time and part time staff Nurses.

Training and further education available

Must have fluent English and some Irish Nursing experience
Excellent rota flexibility
Elderly experience beneficial
Must be registered with ABA

Must be flexible in terms of working nights, weekends etc when rostered

Nurse Manager required for Addiction Service

We have a requirement in for a Nurse Manager for an Addiction Service in Dublin City Centre -

NURSE MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL DETOX UNIT - DUBLIN CITY CENTRE

Registerd General or Psychiatric Nurse with current ABA Registration

Diploma or Degree in Addiction Studies

Minimum of 5 years Post Grad experience

Min of 3 years @ CNM level

Addiction/Detox experience essential

Living within commutable distance to Dublin City Centre

MUST BE LIVING IN IRELAND WITH RELEVANT IRISH EXPERIENCE

Some of these are -

1. Participate in regular supervision, support and performance appraisal with Head of Specialist services and identify role related training needs.
2. Ensure that nurses demonstrate a satisfactory knowledge base for safe nursing practice and act to promote and maintain safe nursing practice.
3. Ensure the detox unit functions in accordance with relevant nursing legislation and that nurses fulfil the duty of care in the course of practice and intervene when policies or practices may impede care or contravene the law.
4. To ensure nurses on the detox unit are working within their scope of practice and competence as set by An Bord Altranais and that nurses consult with other health care professionals when service user problems fall outside the scope of nursing practice.

Hi guys,

If you are a newly qualifed Nurse looking for your first job in Nursing, why not go next door to the UK as there is not alot on offer currently in Ireland with all the HSE cutbacks.

I did most of my Nursing in the UK, primarily London and it was a fantastic experience, one I would highly recommend to all Nurses out there who may be despondent about the Irish Nursing jobs market.
